About Us

Our purpose is to provide educational grants and sponsorships to individuals who would otherwise be unable to afford to study. We also strongly believe in supporting local community projects which compliment our ethos and help groups of individuals gain the skills and confidence they need to improve their lives. We regularly fund community projects such as the international Red Cross and other aid organisations delivering relief and support to local communities. On top of this, we have set up a Gap Year Organisation which links English speaking volunteers to projects in Chile. From this we are able to directly support schools and orphanages providing extra helping hands and free English teachers! In return, volunteers experience the wonderful Chilean culture, learn spanish and gain confidence and skills themselves too.

We believe that education is an important tool that offers endless opportunities to help people love the life they live and improve not only their own lives, but their families’ too.

The Elisa Educational Trust is run wholly by volunteers with no overhead costs other than annual auditing of the official charity accounts.
